Vision Architecture & SmartOakland Announce "Get the Lead Out" Lead Poisoning Solution & Crowdfunding Campaign

SmartOakland partnered with Stephanie Hayden, of Vision Architecture and Metropolitan Intelligence, to design a Smart City lead poisoning detection system using Xray Vision to make invisible lead poisoning visible and immediately available via data dashboards for families who can then take real-time, immediate, action to protect themselves from imminent threat of lead poisoning for their family members inside their homes.

The "Get the Lead Out" solution uses the Internet of Things and scientific data capture services to identify invisible lead exposure locations and immediately connecting them with health, legal, and housing services to ensure the current threat is controlled, their children are tested for lead poisoning and necessary health services, so they can maintain ongoing safety in their homes.

The solution "speaks to" compliance stakeholders like city building inspectors and code enforcement to ensure properties do not contain lead poisoning and to assist landlords and property owners in becoming compliant with federal, state, and local mandates to maintain lead-free rental properties an maintain current records so renters know units are safe before they move into a unit with their families.

Get the Lead Out (GTLO) is a Smart City solution available for any city and for law makers and service providers to deliver value to their constituents by protecting their rights to safe housing and to bringing lead abatement to impacted communities.
